His heart for service is also evident locally, where he volunteers regularly with the Salvation Army and the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore.

  • An annual “Water for the Community” distribution during the city’s Peanut Festival

  • A COVID-19 Task Force to bring vaccines directly to underserved rural residents.

In July 2025, Dr. Fleming was called to serve as the Senior Pastor of Mount Bethel Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he continues to lead with vision, integrity, and a heart for both people and purpose.
